A $60M investment in Engineering has resulted in:
- 24% reduction in concussions from 2018-2020.
- An increase from 40% -> 99% players wearing top safety helmets.
- Development of the 1st position-specific helmet.
- This has aided in moving from a 16 game season to 17 in 2021.
All of these advancements have come by way of data collection.
Each Digital Athlete generates ~3TB of data/ week ( That is a lot of data ).
That data has been used, reviewed, crossed with other information to draw conclusions to make the game safer.
Today, data is making the game safer…
Tomorrow, this could be personalized recommendations for safety and performance, putting everyone at their top-level.
The same is happening in industrial manufacturing.
Just because “that’s the way it’s always been done” does not mean it can’t be done a better way.
Data, or better yet, using the data to make informed decisions, can make systems and processes better, allowing peak performance.
