Chennai June 29, 2019 – CK Ranganathan, has taken over as president of TiE Chennai from V Shankar. TiE Chennai is the second largest chapter in India and one of the best performing chapters in the world, with over 750 entrepreneur members in its fold. CK Ranganathan fondly called as CKR, is the chairman and managing director of CavinKare. Arun Natarajan, Founder of Venture intelligence, takes over as Vice President in the new role. The new 11 member governing council installed, will charter the new entrepreneurial initiatives at TiE Chennai.
Being a self taught and self made entrepreneur, CKR has already set about new initiatives that would benefit the Tamil Nadu entrepreneur ecosystem. In the words of CKR “My success at Cavin Kare, I purely attribute it to the skills I learnt and the knowledge I acquired. An entrepreneur needs to invest in themselves and that’s the mandate I will like to take forward”
TiE Chennai has already rolled out a financial literacy program for business owners to increase their financial acumen. Other initiatives to be rolled out include ‘Shadowing a CEO’, Program on ‘Strategy Essentials for business owners’ are some of the many projects on the pipe line. The opportunity ahead is to scale further and chart new paths for the growth of the eco-system.
